The Histomorphometry of The Small Intestine on Turkey (Meleagris Gallopavo) at Different Age Levels

This study aims to determine the histomorphometry of small intestine turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo) at different age levels. used a completely randomized design. 18 male turkeys, divided into 3 groups ages 8, 16, and 24 weeks, each group comprising 6 turkeys. The necropsied turkey's was taken histological preparations stained with haematoxylin-eosin (HE). results showed that picture layer levels consisted four layers: tunica mucosa, submucosa, muscular, serosa. Histomorphometrically, there an increase in thickness all layers from 8 16 weeks (P0.05), height intestinal villi increased parts (P0.05 ). In conclusion, histomorphometric measurements, it can be seen are differences three groups.
